Steel building specification reference.
Facility and capability
These are the facts a procurement team usually asks to see before a technical discussion starts.

What we fabricate
- Pre-engineered steel warehouses and distribution buildings
- Workshops with crane bays, including crane rail and crane runway steel
- Plant and process buildings — crushing halls, pump houses, switchgear buildings
- Material and bulk storage sheds, including pipe yards and wind fences
- Pipe racks and their access towers
- Site camp buildings for remote projects
- Mezzanine floors inside existing warehouses, framed to the structure or independent of it
- Truck loadout canopies, weighbridge houses and queue canopies
- Conveyor galleries, elevated or at grade
Decisions that must be fixed before fabrication
Almost everything in a steel building can be adjusted late. These cannot, or cannot cheaply. They are the reason a specification conversation is worth having before a quotation is requested.
| Parameter | What it decides | Why it is expensive later |
|---|---|---|
| Clear span and column grid | Whether the building has internal columns, and where | Moving a column changes every frame, every foundation and the crane runway |
| Bay spacing | Number of frames, foundations, rafter weight, door positions | It is set once in the drawings and inherited by every later change |
| Eave height | Clearance for the tallest thing that must move or be lifted | Raising it later means new columns and a new envelope, not a modification |
| Crane rail level | The working height under a crane hook | It is built into the column, the bracket and the runway beam together |
| Dock level or level entry | How vehicles meet the floor | It is a site slope and vehicle-mix calculation, not a detail added at the end |
| Corrosion class | Coating system and the maintenance interval | It is a selection input to layout and detailing, not a paint choice made at dispatch |
| Expansion joint positions | Where a long building is allowed to move | Once the roof and cladding cross the joint, the detail is fixed |
| Roof slope and drainage | Purlin layout, gutter size, where water leaves the building | Changing the slope changes the frame geometry, not just the gutter |

How wind load is handled
Wind speed on this site and in our correspondence is always stated in km/h. The design value is taken from the code that governs the project's own location, and it is confirmed before the frame is drawn. We do not apply a default figure to a project and we do not quote one from a different country. If the governing code has not been supplied, wind speed stays on the open-items list.
What this page deliberately does not contain
Prices, price ranges and cost estimates. They depend on span, tonnage, envelope, coating system, shipping volume and site access, and a number produced before those are known is not a number anyone should plan against. Send the five inputs on the contact page and the first look is free.
